The difference your workplace giving donation makes to a young person (and their family)
Right now, 40% of young people in Australia are living with a mental health difficulty. 7 out of 10 young people who need support don't get it. By making a donation through workplace giving, you can significantly impact the life of a young person seeking help.
A donation made by you, your team or your organisation, through your workplace giving program, will ensure that when that young person goes online, they’ll find the help they need to get immediate relief from an everyday issue or even from a tough time. And that can make all the difference.
For more than 20 years, ReachOut has been helping young people and their families access support as they experience mental health challenges. Now more than ever, the demand for our services is growing.
A donation made by you, your team or your organisation through your workplace giving program will ensure that when that young person goes online, they’ll find us to get the help they need. Here they’ll be able to build a better understanding and perspective about what’s happening in their lives, connect with people who will provide support without judgement, and build the resilience to manage their challenges now and in the future.

Workplace giving and you
Workplace giving is a great way to support the organisations and causes that mean the most to you. It’s easy to make a donation through workplace giving, and because it’s taken from your pay before tax, it can reduce your taxable income.
You can nominate as little as $10 to donate to ReachOut from your gross pay (before tax), and it will only cost you $7 from your take home pay (after tax). But the best part is that the full $10 goes to us, and we’ll put it to good use supporting young people and their families across Australia.
Get in contact with your organisation’s payroll team or your charity champion to set up an ongoing donation.
Workplace giving and your organisation
There are many great reasons to have a workplace giving program in your organisation. A successful workplace giving program provides employees with a shared purpose and brings organisational values to life.
Successful workplace giving programs create a more dedicated and driven workforce, enhance your company’s desirability as a place to work for future employees, and give your employees tax benefits for supporting the charities they’re passionate about.
Workplace giving is also easy to set up, low in cost and low in effort. And when your organisation matches employees’ donations dollar for dollar, you can double your company’s impact, meaning that more young people and their parents will get the help they need.
