ReachOut recognised in 2019 QLD Mental Health Week Achievement Awards

04 Nov 2019

ReachOut is proud to have been named the winner of both the Not-For-Profit SME Award and the overall prize of the Earle Duus Memorial Award, in the 2019 Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards.

The QLD Mental Health Week Achievement Awards have been running since 1996 to celebrate those working to raise awareness and reduce stigma of mental illness. The Awards are Queensland’s only state-wide mental health awards.

Ashley de Silva, CEO of ReachOut Australia said: “The work we do at ReachOut is all about helping young people to be happy and well. Just one of the ways we do this is through our online peer support forums. Every day on these forums we see young people providing incredible support for each other, even when sometimes they are going through a tough time themselves."

“This award is a real honour for ReachOut.  I look forward to continuing to work with organisations in our sector and governments to ensure Australians have the tools they need to look after their mental health and to have access to help when they need it.”
