Re-launched on Tuesday, 23 July 2013, ReachOut.com Professionals is Australia’s one-stop portal where teachers and youth support workers can find the latest practical resources about promoting young people’s mental health.
 
Redeveloped with funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, the online service provides guidance on using e-mental health tools and referral pathways; practical activities and lesson plans for teaching wellbeing and resilience skills; and online professional development on using technology to provide youth-friendly services and support.
ReachOut.com Professionals draws on the expertise behind ReachOut.com, the first online youth mental health service in the world, now reaching over 1.3 million people each year. With one in four young Australians experiencing mental health difficulties, ReachOut.com makes it easier for young people to get help where and when they need it.
Jonathan Nicholas, CEO of Inspire Foundation, the organisation behind ReachOut.com, said:

In a platform designed to guide professionals to the resources most relevant to their work, ReachOut.com Professionals assists support workers to help young people develop factors that protect against developing mental health difficulties.
Topics covered include reviews of apps that help with anxiety and mood disorders, insights on how young people use social media in their daily lives, and classroom activities that get students thinking about their mental health and wellbeing.
Accessible at au.professionals.reachout.com, the new site also provides recommendations on how to use Australia’s emerging e-mental health services to support young people’s mental health.
