The incredible Dance for Life event just raised an epic $85k+ to support young people across Australia through ReachOut.com. Watched by more than 700 people at Sydney’s Domestic Cruise Terminal, 10 teams of amateur dancers from the design and architecture industries took to the circus-themed stage and delivered some amazing choreographed dance moves – with HASSELL taking out the top prize for best performance.
Dance for Life is one of the largest fundraisers supporting ReachOut and we are so grateful to this community for their support. With these funds, ReachOut can support tens of thousands more young people going through tough times.
In particular, we’d like to share a massive thank you to TCW’s Megan Byrne, Instyle’s Alvin Cruz, and ThinkingWorks’ Maria Zarotiadou and a crowd of other generous colleagues and sponsors, who make this event possible.
The organisers and each of the 10 teams competing put an enormous amount of time and energy into bringing the event to life. Not only that but their fundraising efforts and the events they held in the lead up to the night will help make sure that many more young people and families know that ReachOut is there for them.
We’d like to make a special shout-out to ReachOut Youth Ambassador Sophie Sauerman for sharing her personal story in front of 700 people!
