Join ReachOut’s First Nations Youth Advisory Group

Are you a First Nations young person passionate about mental health and social and emotional wellbeing? ReachOut is looking for six young people to be part of our First Nations Advisory Group – and we’d love to hear from you.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for six young First Nations people aged 17–24. We’re keen to include someone from every state and territory.
You don’t need any formal experience – just a passion for making a difference, a willingness to share your perspective, and a commitment to learning.

What’s involved?
This is a chance to use your voice and lived experience to guide ReachOut’s work and make a real impact. You’ll help shape culturally safe mental health resources for mob, build your leadership and advocacy skills, and connect with other First Nations young people from all over the country.

  • Meetings: 1 hour every second month (6 meetings a year).

  • Location: Mostly online, with one face-to-face catch up.

  • Payment: You’ll be paid for your time and input with gift cards (we’ll let you know the amount if you’re selected).
