The Sorter Goes Global

22 Jan 2014

Australia's leading online youth mental health service has just gone global with its pioneering new mobile app The Sorter. Initially available in Australian app stores, The Sorter powered by ReachOut.com is now available to help young people in New Zealand, Ireland, UK and USA.

"Taking The Sorter global honours our commitment to pioneering online mental health promotion", says Jono Nicholas, CEO of ReachOut.com by Inspire Foundation. "Our organisation launched the world's first online mental health service back in 1998, and we've always challenged ourselves to break new ground in the pursuit of helping young people".

The Sorter delivers free, bite-sized pieces of advice across five areas that young people highlight as causing them most concern. Including topics such as Sex & Relationships, Alcohol & Drugs, Friends & Family and Study Stress, the app can now be accessed via iTunes and Google Play internationally with more locations to come.

"Young people see themselves as global citizens" Jono continues. "It's therefore terrific to see a product that young Australians have played a large role in developing now available to their peers around the world".
