How two guys and a glorified lawnmower raised 10k for ReachOut.com

On 8 September 2013, a couple of guys from Sydney, Blake and Dave, crammed themselves into a 'glorifed lawnmower' (aka auto-rickshaw) and set off on an adventure of a lifetime.

The Rickshaw Run is an adventure style race which saw the guys travel almost 3,500km across India - without a support crew. It was no walk in the park. The guys were faced with many highs and lows, and at times it was a true test of mental endurance and resilience. Everyone in the office was glued to their facebook updates and when they made this post:

"As of 4.30pm AEST yesterday Dave and I crossed the finish line to a race that we now both agree has been the toughest challenge we have done, both physically and mentally." We all sighed a collective 'phew...' that they had made it safe and sound.

It really was a tremendous effort and we are truly grateful for their support. Not only did they finish the race safely, they also raised an amazing $9,749 and a huge amount of awareness, following appearances in their local paper and receiving 360 likes on their Facebook page.

On New Year's Day 2014 a second team will take on the same challenge for ReachOut.com. Inspired? Support Simon, John and Lachie's team 'Second to Naan'!
