ReachOut warmly welcomes the Albanese Government’s announcement that further funding has been committed to ReachOut following the Digital Mental Health Program tender.

CEO of ReachOut, Gary Groves, said that this is an important investment in youth mental health at a critical time.

“Now more than ever it is essential that young Australians have access to free, high quality, evidence-based and effective digital mental health services.

“ReachOut was successful in securing 3 years of funding under the Digital Mental Health Program competitive process. Over the last two weeks, we have had constructive engagement with the government regarding the quantum of funding awarded to ensure we can sustain and deliver our digital services into the future.

“ReachOut recognises and respects the rationale behind the recent Digital Mental Health Program competitive funding process, in particular the importance of ensuring that services funded meet the new National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards. ReachOut is NSQDMH certified and fully supports ensuring Australian mental health services meet rigorous safety standards.

“The review of this tender process outcome and restoration of funding to digital mental health services like ReachOut will ensure more young people across the country  are able to access the high quality support they need, when they need it the most. We thank Minister Butler and Assistant Minister McBride for their leadership and action,” he said.
