Reaching out to young people on R U OK? Day

11 Sep 2014

Today we’re calling on Australians to reach out to young people and ask them, R U OK?

“If you’ve been worried about a young person in your life, now is the time to reach out and ask them if they’re okay,” said Jono Nicholas, CEO of ReachOut.com by Inspire Foundation.

If a young person is going through a tough time, suggest they head to ReachOut.com to learn proven strategies for dealing with what’s going on.

“If you’re stuck on what to say or how to help, ReachOut.com is always standing by,” said Nicholas.

ReachOut.com has almost 500 fact sheets, articles, and stories about what young people have been through, in addition to online forums where they can connect with others and share solutions.

For the last three weeks, ReachOut.com has been on the road with the R U OK? Conversation Tour, encouraging communities to ask “R U OK?” more regularly of young people, family and friends.
