In some good news to turn that iso-frown upside down, KFC and ReachOut are throwing a big ol’ Couch Party, with indie pop duo Client Liaison, bringing their bangers live to the lounge rooms of Aussies spending another Friday night at home. Fans can tune in to the Couch Party on Friday 15 May from 6pm to 7pm, via the KFC Facebook page to kick the weekend off in style and let off some steam.
Client Liaison will be hosting the Couch Party to provide some uplifting beats and good vibes, ‘coz there’s no denying that won’t brighten you up after being stuck inside all day! Importantly, the band will be performing to young Aussies to shine a light on the mental health resources ReachOut has to available to anyone looking for some extra support.
To anyone looking to cut some shapes on the D-floor, the Client Liaison lads will be turning it right up and offloading their certified bangers including The Real Thing. The duo will be performing from the comfort of their living room to encourage viewers to get up, shake it out and dance like no one is watching – because no one is watching (hopefully) – so bucket, why not? So why not join in the party, have a singalong or boogie with the band and even win a bunch of sweet merch.
Vocalist Monte Morgan and keyboardist Harvey Miller from Client Liaison said: “We’re excited to bring a bit of Client Liaison into people’s homes during this time of isolation for the first KFC Couch Party. We’ll be using our situation to take a new approach on our songs as well as preview what’s next to come. We’re also stoked with Reach Out’s involvement, knowing that we’re shining a light on their free online services available for young people whenever they need them.”

Ashley de Silva, CEO at ReachOut, said: “When it comes to our mental health and wellbeing there are small things we can do every day that make a big difference. Listening to music and connecting with others online are great ways to give yourself a boost. So by partnering with KFC and Client Liaison we hope the Couch Party will help brighten the day for young Aussies and act as a reminder to check in with yourself and a friend on mental wellbeing. We want to use this opportunity to let as many young people as possible know that free mental health support is available 24/7 at ReachOut.com with whatever life throws at you.”
Kristi Woolrych, CMO at KFC Australia, commented: “We’re thrilled to be putting on the Couch Party to bring some light relief to lounge rooms across the country and shine a light on the fantastic services available via our partners at ReachOut. Nothing raises our spirits more than live music so we couldn’t think of a better way to put a smile on the faces of fans around the country. During these extraordinary times, we want Aussies to have fun, feel free and stay connected and entertained.”
