Inspire is proud to announce that we’ve just gone live with a new online education module for youth support workers and mental health professionals. The ReachOut Pro Education Module - Connecting Our Worlds, is a professional development initiative to assist health care professionals, youth workers, and those working in health promotion to better engage with young people through the use of technology. The module is aimed at providing a basic understanding of the benefits of technology with some introductory "how to" exercises and practical solutions.

Structured in four parts, the module specifically provides resources to help professional practitioners to:

1. Gain a better understanding of how young people engage with technology
2. Find out more about social media and modern technology
3. Access innovative examples of how technology can be used in practice with young people
4. Consider how to plan for the ethical and professional barriers to using technology in practice

This resource was made possible by the ongoing partnership between the Inspire Foundation, Orygen Youth Health and the Brain & Mind Research Institute (BMRI). We hope it will compliment current practice and provide new ideas and options to bring into support work with young people around Australia.
