We are thrilled to announce that sporting great Ian Thorpe will be joining us as a patron, allowing us to reach even more young people who need help.
ReachOut CEO Jono Nicholas said, “When 70 per cent of young people who need help don’t get it, we need to be making greater efforts to reach out to these young people where they are.“
“Ian is an Australian icon who has been in the spotlight since he was a teenager. He’s experienced the different pressures that come with being a young person, all while under intense public scrutiny.
“This makes Ian an ideal patron for ReachOut as it gives him a unique platform to talk about the tough times that young people go through, and how they can get help to overcome them.
“Ian will be raising awareness of ReachOut’s digital self-help tools, which can be accessed by young people and their parents anywhere, any time.
“Keep an eye out for Ian’s involvement in our events and campaigns over the coming months.”
